From there the data is carried by GPRS network to the server, which stores the raw data in its database for further use, carried by local internet to the needful systems like laptops and mobiles.

Processing this data leads to meaningful information about vehicle’s location, movement, route, speed etc. Advanced GPS devices can record more information like ignition status, fuel status, air conditioner status, odometer reading etc.
